Client Relationship Manager – Practice Solutions (Sydney based)

The Person

We seek credible, confident, intelligent professionals with a background in client relationship management and preferably some knowledge of the application of Practice Management solutions in a professional services environment. Personal qualities are seen as more important in our selection process than ticks in the experience boxes. We are interested in people with a positive attitude and high energy levels who can demonstrate enough relevant knowledge but display the personal qualities needed to establish rapport and guide senior professionals at decision making level. The ability to make things happen is critical, a strong work ethic and commitment are required along with a balance of empathy and drive to succeed.You will be responsible for holding the “big picture” for clients, managing existing client relationships, coordinating client management activities, conducting client relationship audits and preparing client management plans with senior consultants. You will have the confidence and experience to deal with partners, senior management, practice managers and IT staff.

Essential Experience:

Experience working with the Accounting profession or other Professional Service organisations is preferable
A good understanding of business, systems and key practice drivers

A minimum of 3 years sales or client relationship management experience

Maturity and problem solving capability

IT software solutions experience

The Role

After the induction process you will work closely with the consultants allocated to a particular account to build closer and more trusting relationships between APS and our clients (Striving for exceptional relationships). Although you can expect to become knowledgeable on the range of business processes and solutions, you will be supported by specialists and your main task will be to hold the “big picture” of what is possible for our clients, build and maintain relationships with the key decision makers and influencers in our client base and manage their expectations and delivery to ensure a successful outcome for both APS and our clients. The role calls for an ability to grasp and understand business issues and the underlying needs and priorities of the key decision makers in the firm. Relationships, trust, attention to detail and effective communication are key issues in ensuring our clients remain loyal and committed to APS. Apart from revenue generated from the client management team, performance will be assessed on the quality of client relationships, client satisfaction and overall contribution to the success of the business.

You will be expected to:

Proactively plan and run client meetings with senior decision makers
Conduct relationships review meetings
Establish areas of concern and growth opportunities for clients
Prepare Account Management plans for clients
Follow-up and action any outcomes from these meetings
Identify sales opportunities for BDM’s
Assist in generating consulting revenue opportunities
Update all clients details and inputs into the internal CRM system
Develop and maintain knowledge and experience of the industry and relevant technologies
Maintain and support clear communication channels for the client and APS

You will have the ability to:
