In 1998 APS opened for business in Australia, some 7 years after the company first started life in New Zealand. Ten years on and we have become the system of choice for Australia’s professional accounting community with Big 4, second tier and smaller firms all having made the switch.
Advance Practice Management, Practice IQ, Xcede Professional Accounting and Advance Tax are bedrock applications in the majority of Top 100 firms while our Document Management, Superannuation and CRM products continue to see their user-bases grow and grow.
Importantly, every single firm now with APS in Australia has had to be won from the hands of an incumbent. As a company that prides ourselves on the accountability of our team as much as our product we believe that’s a real tribute.
With 10 years in Australia now under our belt we are thrilled to confirm that the 2008 Annual Client Conference will be held at Sydney’s Star City Casino in Darling Harbour.
We ask all clients to make sure they mark Thursday 6th to Saturday 8th November in their diaries for what will surely be our largest Annual Conference yet! We will be sending out a confirmed itinerary and agenda much earlier this year because room numbers will need to be confirmed some months before the event – and room availability is limited.
More information will follow in the next issue of Advancements.
This issue also sees us start a new regular item, the Advancements ‘poll’. In each issue we will identify an issue relevant to the accounting profession and ask for your views. We encourage all readers to participate in this first poll – its about ‘outsourcing’ – so please let us know your thoughts.
Finally, our parent company Reckon released our 2007 results during February. The market has registered the results very favourably – and a copy of our report is accessible via the link: Reckon / APS 2007 Results.
