While we have certainly made progress with Excel 2007 and Xcede, we cannot certify it as yet. All issues with Excel 2007 have been identified with the release of Excel 2007 SP1. We ask that you do not upgrade to Excel 2007 without talking to an APS consultant.
Other products that you may be using also need to be assessed when you are considering moving to Vista. This is not necessarily a comprehensive list of the software you may use but is a list of our official partners.
And finally, check that your anti -virus software is Vista compliant.
Advance Tax NZ - APS® can make Access Runtime available only if you have MS Office Standard.
The testing and use of Xcede Professional Accounting Version 8 (XPA8) client files will be in MS Access XP (2002) format.
SBS Premium includes SQL Server. SBS Premium 2003 R2 ships a version of Microsoft SQL 2005 called Workgroup Edition. This edition does not include Analysis Services. Clients who use PracticeIQ need Analysis Services. This means that any SBS Premium clients need to invest in Microsoft SQL 2005 Standard Edition if they are to use PIQ.
Best Practice under these circumstances and being mindful of a Microsoft comment, SBS clients who have to purchase full SQL really should include an Analysis Services server in their design to host PIQ. Microsoft does not support Analysis Services on a domain controller.

For information on SBS 2008, please look at this web site. It explains the difference between a single server (SBS Standard) and a two server scenario (SBS Premium). (This solves with the issue of SBS 2003 Premium only shipping SQL workgroup edition).
