The Enterprise Platform rules support the design and implementation of a set of standard and customised workflow processes to allow the routing of transactional data between users. The workflow can be built to trigger against virtually any data attribute including vendor, user, department, disbursement, cost type and amount and route the transactions to users based on the data attributes or to a fixed approver depending on the firm's requirements.
A set of standard workflow rules allow firms to quickly deploy approval mechanisms, send alerts depending on the workflow state of transactions in the system and enable users to access the workflow via the web browser interface. The approver can decide if costs should be charged to the matter or cost centre or whether they should be returned to the user for allocation to another code. These workflows can then be customised to streamline the approval mechanism or to set thresholds and the workflows applied to one or more imports, data types or vendors.
The flexible workflow and approvals mechanisms built into the Enterprise Platform ensure that charging policies can be enforced and allow professional service firms to pro-actively monitor and control all their costs and expenses.

Users can select multiple transactions to approve in a single click or review each transaction individually.
Ensures that transactions are sent to the correct person based on the firm's requirements. The routing rules are defined when the workflow is implemented, users do not need to worry about who should approve the cost, the system ensures the cost is sent to the appropriate approver and an e-mail alert can be sent to remind the approver to action the requests.

Approvers can select from a list of pre-defined workflow responses such as "Approve", "Reject", "Request more info" and "Please allocate to another code" or can enter a custom response to return a transaction to the originating user.
